A New Kid on the
Block at TT Orlando

So along with the slow down in the action and preparing for the summer season 2008 at the Thousand Trails Orlando Preserve, a new kid just arrived on the block. A new Recreation Director to be specific. Her name is Shannon. Shannon has the effervescent pizzazz that will work perfectly at the Orlando Preserve. She comes with quite a background ranging from Recreation Direction to Recreation Program Creation. Along with public speaking at various locales, Shannon is also working on completing a book about Recreation Program Management. But her experience doesn’t stop there. She has expertise in the areas of Guest Relations, Fitness & Exercise programming and instruction, Aquatic Exercise, Aquatic Therapy ... and the list continues on and on. The Recreational Program Development I peak of includes but is by no means limited to (for mature minded individuals) glass painting, wax candle making, Yoga, bead jewelry making, cooking classes. For the more youthful folks - story telling `round the campfire, awareness parades, special Holiday events pertinent to the respective Holiday, bug adventures (what a great place to do that - FLORIDA!). And as if all this wasn’t enough, she’s a darn nice, easy to talk to person that loves being out and involved with people of all ages. Go figure!
Anyway - you get the drift here. Whether it be summer or winter, Ms. Shannon has more than what it takes to be original, creative, interactive - all the while setting forth good examples and leadership. The only worry here at T.T. Orlando is that our regional and corporate people will find out about her and try and steel her. So tell your friends and fellow Members. But don’t tell our corporate leaders - - - YET! <wink> So if you’re coming to see us all here at Thousand Trails Orlando, why don’t you make it a point to come say Hi to Shannon and maker her feel welcome. She’s told me she wants input, suggestions on activities and feedback as well. So don’t be shy
