April 4-6: Spring Fever Frenzy Weekend
Come find a pot of gold at the end of the Circle M rainbow. Join in on our treasure hunt and rainbow tie-dyeing.
April 11-13: Happy Un-Birthday to You!
Come and celebrate your birthday with us this weekend. Enjoy some birthday cake, games and presents.
April 18-20: Show Me the Green
We are going to decorate our recycling cans, gather trash (the person who gathers the most wins a prize), and then we will learn a little about nature. Make sure to bring your snorkels to find and identify the whales, but don’t let the shark bite you!
April 25-27: Candy Land Weekend
Do you like the game Candy Land? Sign up to play in our people-size Candy Land game. Other activities include a candy scramble, piñata and guessing games.
May 2-4: Up, Up and Away Weekend
We will make kites, pinwheels, airplanes and wind chimes. Attach a message to a balloon, and we will journal the wind speed and direction for the day to see how far it might go.
May 9-11: Marvelous Mothers Weekend
Stop in at the activity room to make a gift for Mom while she gets a manicure and enjoys pool time set aside just for her. Then you can join us for a potluck dinner made by Dad.
May 16-18: Pirate Adventure Weekend
Yo, ho, ho! Walk the plank, sink the ship and dig for some treasure.
May 23-25: Memorial Day Weekend
Kick off the weekend with our annual yard sale. Get your treasures together, this event will be held at your sites. Our first craft fair of the year will be held this weekend also.
May 30-1: Wild World of Sports Weekend
Get your head in the game! Enjoy swimming, basketball, baseball and lots of other games and activities.
June 6-8: Wild West Weekend
Ride ‘em cowboy! Don’t miss the shootout at the OK Corral, blacksmith demonstrations, chili-cooking contest and more. Sign up for our horseshoe tournament, and then you can relax on a horse-drawn wagon ride.
June 13-15: Dad’s Days of Summer
Enjoy a fun-filled weekend for dads. Participate in our golf tournament, fly fishing, archery and poker games.
June 20-22: Rock Around the Clock
Bring your old cars or any other memorabilia to help us remember the good old days. Enjoy some fries and milk shakes at our drive-in. Evening music will be played by DJ Midnight Rebel. Love Elvis? Sign up to participate in our Elvis look-alike contest.
June 27-29: ‘70s and ‘80s Weekend
Come dressed from the ‘70s and ‘80s at our disco night. Join in our trivia games and don’t forget to bring a pair of jeans and a t-shirt so we can decorate them before the dance.
July 4-6: All-American Fourth of July
Come and revel in our red, white, and blue pride. Bring your bicycles or little wagons and decorate them for the bike parade. Make a splash at the first pool party of the year with DJ Midnight Rebel.
July 11-13: Second Annual Car Show
Food, fun, contests and music for everyone. Bring your pinewood derby cars or make them here and race to the finish. Trophies or ribbons for all participates will be given at our bonfire.
July 18-20: Carnival Weekend
Did you have a blast at our carnival last year? This one will be even bigger and better, with lots of games, activities, food and a petting zoo.
July 25-27: Pet Paradise Weekend
Bring your pets for a weekend of fun! We will have a pet obstacle course, pet groomers, treat making and of course, the favorite pet look-alike contest. Make sure you bring a picture of you and your pet, or when you register sign up to have your picture taken. We will vote on the winner with proceeds going to the K-Pets Therapy Group.
August 1-3: Game Show Weekend
Enjoy games? Become a contestant in Circle M Deal or No Deal, Campground Identity, and Can you Remember the Lyrics?
August 8-10: Beach Bum Weekend
No shirt, no shoes, no problem. Join us for some terrific fun in the sun. Sand volleyball, hula lessons and lots of water relay races. Enjoy some roasted pig and corn on the cob at our annual pig roast. Sit back and enjoy some music and swimming at the evening pool party with DJ Midnight Rebel.
August 22-24: School Daze Weekend
Summer is winding down and school must begin. Earn tickets by participating in activities and games throughout the day (or purchase extra at the trading post). We will have a Chinese auction at the end of the day and you can buy school items.
August 29-31: Labor Day Weekend
One last good weekend fling. Want to know how many dips of ice cream it takes to make a 30-foot banana split? Come see us this weekend and we will have the answer.

April 11-13: Welcome Back
Welcome back, campers! After a long winter it’s finally time to start a new camping season. Let’s just enjoy that first campfire and barbecue, and we can clean up the campground next weekend.
April 18-20: Earth Day
In honor of Earth Day, let’s all get together and clean up what Old Man Winter has left behind. Make a resolution to be more environmentally friendly by recycling this camping season.
April 25-27: Springfest
Spring has sprung upon us again! Enjoy a ride in the country or around the campground to see all the renewal that nature has for us. Check out the spring festivals going on in the surrounding area.
May 2-4: Culture Weekend
Let’s celebrate our diverse backgrounds with food! Prepare your favorite ethnic dish, enough for six, to share at a potluck dinner Saturday. Yours might be the biggest hit!
May 9-11: Mother’s Day Weekend
We honor all mothers, grandmothers and mothers-to-be this weekend. Join us for our annual Mother’s Day tea on Saturday afternoon.
May 16-18: Armed Forces Weekend
In honor of all those who have served or are serving in the military, we salute you! Join us for a social hour on Saturday as we show our appreciation for your dedication to our country.
May 23-25: Memorial Day Weekend
It’s time to remember and honor our fallen heroes who sacrificed their lives. Fly a flag this weekend as you reflect on this great gift of freedom given to you. This is also the unofficial start of the camping season, so be sure to visit with friends and family. Enjoy our first Saturday night entertainment of the season.
May 30-June 1: Time Out Weekend
May 31 is National Time Out Day. Take time to play with kids, visit Grandma or read a good book. Do something you just never seem to have the time to do.
June 6-8: Pet Weekend
Bring your pet to show off in our pet parade on Saturday. There will be special treats for all our pet friends who participate. Entertainment Saturday night.
June 13-15: Father’s Day Weekend
Honor Dad this weekend by making him a special gift. Spend some quality time around the campfire with him and thank him for all he has done for you.
June 20-22: School’s Out and Summer’s In
Say goodbye to school and hello to summer fun! Sleep late and enjoy leisurely days of bike riding, swimming in the pool and playing games with your friends.
June 27-29: Outdoor Games And Sports
Enjoy a weekend filled with soccer, baseball, basketball, bocce, volleyball, horseshoes, shuffleboard and more!
July 4-6: Red, White and Blue
Fly an American flag! Decorate your site and sign up for the contest. Win a cool prize if you’re one of the top three decorators! See local fireworks and a parade. There will be entertainment on Saturday.
July 11-13: Western Weekend
Put on your boots and western gear. Bring the kids for pony rides in the afternoon, then have a steak dinner with us (purchase your tickets in advance). We’ll line dance the night away with entertainment.
July 18-20: Oldies Weekend
Dig out your polyester pantsuits, poodle skirts and saddle shoes. Anything in the back of the closet from the ‘50s to the ‘70s. Dance with us to great old classics on Saturday night.
July 25-27: Christmas In July
Decorate your site and sign up for the contest to see who has the best Christmas display! Make ornaments to keep or hang on our tree. Watch for Santa, he may be in our area on vacation. Entertainment Saturday night.
August 1-3: Folk Weekend
Tie-dye a t-shirt. Bring your own or buy one for a small fee. Guaranteed hours of fun for the entire family. There will be a DJ playing folk and rock music.
August 8-10: Carnival Weekend
Join the fun! Bring the entire family for a day filled with games, prizes, moon bounce, clowns, face painting, popcorn and snow cones. After all that, enjoy the entertainment at night.
August 15-17: Luau Weekend
Wear your brightest Hawaiian shirt and complement it with a lei! Attend a great luau dinner (buy tickets in advance), then limbo and dance the night away!
August 22-24: Back To School
Where did the summer go? We were having so much fun! Come to our back-to-school scavenger hunt and enjoy entertainment with summer friends Saturday night.
August 29-31: Labor Day Weekend
This may be the end of summer, but we aren’t done yet! Enjoy a long weekend of campfires, cookouts and relaxation. Entertainment on the weekend, too!
September 5-8: Apple-Peach Weekend
Take a ride to Acushnet and surrounding towns for their annual festivals. Enjoy the fine foods and crafts they have to offer and bring some back for dessert around the campfire.
September 12-14: Bring A Guest Weekend
Have a friend, neighbor or family member visit your site for the day, or better yet stay the night. Introduce them to the wonderful world of camping. We always have room for anyone who wants to join our campground.
September 19-21 Leaves Are Falling
Get out to enjoy the colorful changes of the scenery. Warm up by campfires as the air gets brisk at night.
September 26-28: Indoor Games
Join us for classic board games like Yahtzee, Clue, Sorry and Monopoly. Don’t miss our pool and pingpong tournaments. Winners get prizes!
October 3-5: It’s Getting Chilly Outside
Let’s warm up with a potluck dinner! Make your favorite casserole or pot of chili, enough to feed six. We’ll have great food and conversation.
October 10-12: Columbus Day Weekend
Last long weekend of our camping season! Dance the night away with entertainment Saturday night.
October 17-19: Halloween Weekend
Ghosts and goblins are lurking about again! Read ghost stories around the campfire. Go on a haunted hayride. Site-decoration contest with prizes and a spooky party.

Gettysburg Farm
May 23-26: Memorial Day Weekend
Join us for the first big camping weekend of the season. The pool will be open, there’ll be a live band Saturday evening and a DJ dance Sunday evening. And don’t forget all the baby farm animals at our barnyard petting zoo!
June 6-8: Street Rod Weekend
The York Fairgrounds will be hosting one of the largest street rod shows in the country. More than 4,000 classic rods will be cruising the area. If you’re a car enthusiast be sure to mark your calendar for this event.
June 20-22: Kick Off Summer Weekend
Enjoy a refreshing swim, a challenging mini-golf game or just kick back and relax. Green grass, beautiful flowers, lots of farm animals and friends…that’s what Gettysburg Farm is about.
July 11-13: Christmas in July
Kids can take a ride on Santa’s “rein-pony” or climb aboard big Rosie (our draft horse). We’ll be baking cookies, making Christmas cards, stringing popcorn and much more. Don’t forget to decorate your site for our annual contest.
July 25-27: Carnival Flea Market
Enjoy carnival games, a moon bounce and lots of food. Set up your treasures at the flea market by the pool on Saturday. Pig out at the first pig roast of the season, complete with homemade baked beans and our farm-grown baked potatoes. Enjoy the sounds of a live band playing outside Saturday afternoon.
August 15-17: Luau Weekend
Enjoy a tropical getaway at the farm. Activities this weekend will include lei-making, a hula contest and a Saturday evening dance. The feature event will be our pig roast potluck, so bring your favorite dish to share with your friends.
August 29-September 1: Labor Day Weekend
The final big bash of the summer is here. Enjoy a final dip in the pool, tie-dyeing t-shirts, hayrides, pony rides and more. There will be live entertainment both Saturday and Sunday evenings.
October 10-13: Columbus Day Weekend
Lots to do in the fall, both here and nearby. Saturday evening will feature the last pig roast potluck of the season. You’ll want to visit nearby South Mountain Fairgrounds for the spectacular Apple Harvest Festival, a huge attraction.
October 24-26: Halloween Weekend
Our closing weekend is one of the best. There’ll be pumpkin carving and a kids’ costume party followed by trick-or-treating. If you dare, our haunted barn will be scaring you Saturday evening. Don’t miss this one, its one spooktacular weekend!

May 9-11: Mom’s Weekend
Let’s make moms feel special all weekend. We’ll decorate cookies and then have a special afternoon tea for everyone.
May 16-18: Home Again For the Summer
We’ll have a cleanup weekend, beautifying the whole campground. After all that hard work we’ll enjoy a nice potluck cookout (hot dogs and burgers provided).
May 23-25: Memorial Day Weekend
Let’s wave our flags high this weekend. We’ll have a mini-golf tournament with prizes and the first swim for the season
June 13-15: Dad’s Weekend
Let’s go fishing with Dad; biggest fish wins a prize!
June 27-29: Bicycle Poker Run
The Second Annual Bicycle Poker Run for families will be held this weekend, and lots of prizes will be awarded.
July 4-6: Fourth of July Weekend
We’ll have a traditional backyard picnic potluck. We’ll supply the meat, everyone bring a dish. Come to our family pool party Saturday night and meet fellow campers, participate in pool games and enjoy a refreshing watermelon snack.
July 25-27: Christmas Weekend
Participate in the site-decorating contest. Decorate your site with lots of Christmas color and see who wins the prize.
August 8-10: Noodle Weekend
We’ll have all kind of contests for you in the pool using your pool noodles. We’ll also have noodle crafts and noodle bingo.
August 29-31: Labor Day Weekend
Bring the entire family down to the barbecue by the pool. Great food and an opportunity to meet many fellow campers.
September 12-14: Artist Weekend
We’ll provide the chalk and you’ll provide the creativity. Come chalk the pavilion floor. We’ll also have a coloring contest for the kids.
September 19-21: Get ready for Halloween!
We’ll have a costume parade, treat-or-treating, pumpkin carving and a hayride.
October 3-5: Chilly Weekend
Are you prepared for the fall and winter season? We’ll have a chili cookoff and potluck.

Member-staff planning for our 2008 haunted hayride. For anyone not involved in the planning, all amenities will be open and DJ Sonya will be spinning tunes for all ages.
September 19-21: Wild, Wild West Weekend
Western movie show, horseshoes, hayrides, country and top hits with DJ Sonya.
September 26-28: Latino Weekend

October 3-5: Fall Festival Weekend
Hayrides, fall arts and crafts, bonfire and hot dog roast and a trip to a local pumpkin patch.
October 1-12: Oktoberfest
Hayrides, sauerkraut-eating contest, karaoke, DJ dance party and a trip to a local pumpkin patch.
October 17-19: Things That Go Bump in the Night
We’ll have themed activities such as pumpkin painting, Halloween arts and crafts, coloring contest and the big haunted hayride.
October 24-26: Little Camp of Horrors
The first of two Halloween weekends! Activities include our famous haunted hayride, costume contest, ghost hunt, candy count, face painting, caramel apple-making, trick-or-treating, haunted bonfire, cider chug, apple bobbing, magic show, arts and crafts, masquerade DJ dance and karaoke and many more spooktacular events.
October 31-November 1: Freaky Fright Nights
The second of two Halloween weekends! Activities the same as the previous weekend.
November 28-30: Gobble, Gobble, I’m in Trouble
Annual ham and turkey potluck dinner, turkey hunt for the kids, last chance hayride, music by the Due South country band and three-man touch football tourney.
December 12-14: Here Comes Santa Claus
Come out for a fun weekend and go on a caroling hayride, decorate the tree, join the gift exchange, visit and take pictures with Santa, Christmas dance music, karaoke and a reading of The Night Before Christmas.
December 26-31: New Year’s Eve Party and Christmas Break
Adult party with catered buffet, continental breakfast and DJ, teen party with music and pizza, kids’ party with games and pizza, polar bear swim and college bowl games on the big screen on New Year’s Day.

Lake Gaston
April 4-6: Welcome Back
We are thrilled to be open and looking forward to seeing all of our friends, old and new. This weekend will be a time to renew friendships and get out all the camping gear. We will kick off the season with a DJ dance at the pavilion. Pack your bags and come on down!
April 11-13: Spring Fever
Spring is in the air, the weather is changing and the birds are singing. Join us as we welcome the season changes. We will have a splendid time making bird feeders for our little feathered friends and making friendship bracelets.
April 18-20: Love Our Earth (Earth Day)
What a great opportunity to show how much the Earth means to us. Bring the kids to learn about recycling as well as earth-friendly projects and products. Enter an Earth Day coloring contest.
April 25-27: Arbor Day
We will take a nature walk and identify the many different types of trees we have on our lovely sites. Try your hand at a nature scavenger hunt, great fun for the entire family.
May 2-4: Annual Volunteer Weekend
Make plans to join us as we spruce up the campground, clean out the storage rooms, get the pool ready, plant flowers and give our campground a good spring cleaning. Your efforts will be rewarded with a good old-fashioned pig-pickin’ dinner. Members are asked to bring a dessert to share, and we will have a DJ dance to conclude a day of hard work.
May 9-11: Marvelous Moms
Moms are great and we plan to let them know. Dads, bring the kids to make Mother’s Day gifts and cards. We’ll have a special ice cream social in honor of Mom. Enjoy a hearty meal at the Trading Post grill, giving Mom a chance to take the night off from cooking. Join us Sunday morning for a pancake breakfast, where moms eat for free.
May 16-18: Crazy Crafts
Kids and adults join in the fun as we enjoy creative and nonsense crafts for all ages. Special finger painting will be available for the little ones. Let your creative juices flow!
May 23-26: Let the Good Times Roll
Our official summer kickoff is here, and we have an action-packed weekend planned. There will be crafts, games, sports, hayrides, ceramics and many other activities available. Be our guest for a memorial service and tree planting, enjoy the DJ dance Saturday night and a pancake breakfast Sunday morning.
May 30-June 1: Calling All Cowboys
Bring your cowboy hat and boots and join us for a rootin’-tootin’ good time. There will be western crafts and games at the pavilion and water gun shootouts. Prizes will be awarded for the best-dressed western getup at the dance Saturday night. Meet early at the pavilion for worship services. Enjoy a great pancake breakfast for a small fee.
June 6-8: Mexican Fiesta
Great food, crafts, a piñata, music and games are planned. Spice up your weekend with great Mexican flair. Salsa music and dancing will be an exciting extra at the DJ dance.
June 13-15: Fabulous Fathers
Mom, it’s your turn to bring the kids down to the pavilion so they can make Dad a special treat and a homemade card. Dads can enjoy the weekend fishing, playing mini-golf, shooting some hoops or one of many other family activities. Dance the night away Saturday night. Dad can enjoy a free pancake breakfast Sunday morning.
June 20-22: Bingo Mania
We will have beach bingo, candy bingo, poolside beach bingo and junk food bingo. The kids can enjoy a bingo time just for them. Come one and all! Get your bingo fix for the summer. There will be plenty of other activities available especially for sun lovers. DJ dance Saturday night.
June 27-29: Goofing Around
Shaving cream battle, pie-eating contest (hands free), Jell-O slurp, water balloon fight and many other fun and messy activities. You’d better bring a change of clothes and a great attitude as we have a messy-good time. Cool off in the afternoon with an ice cream social with all the toppings you can think of. Join us for karaoke and fun dancing.
July 4-6: Loving Our Country
Enjoy the long weekend with water sports, crafts, great food, a bike parade, ceramics, eating contest, lazy days and fun-filled nights. Be a part of our Fourth of July cookout and DJ dance. Enjoy fireworks over the lake and at other local areas. Check out the patriotic pancakes on Sunday morning. Come for the weekend or the full week, we’ll have plenty to do to keep you entertained.
July 11-13: Wet ‘n’ Wild
Water, water everywhere… prepare to get wet! Lots of water sport activities are planned. We will have pool races, raft races, relay races and more. Of course there will be crafts and “wet” food challenges. Plan for a baby swimsuit contest, kids’ sunglasses contest and teen beach towel contest. There will be fun on the beach with a slip-n-slide and sand castle building. Get your groove on Saturday night at the DJ dance.
July 18-20: Annual Miss Lake Gaston Womanless Pageant
Gentlemen, gather your high heels, purses and your great sense of humor. It’s time for the annual Miss Lake Gaston Womanless Pageant. Who will take home the crown this year? Join us as we have a heel-kickin’ good time. The event will take place during the Saturday night DJ dance. This is a most interesting annual event, and we cordially invite all men to participate—the more the merrier!
July 25-27: Christmas in July
Ho, ho, ho, Santa is taking a vacation at Lake Gaston and he will be here wishing everyone a very merry early Christmas. Plan to join in on all the jolly fun. Unpack your lights and decorations for the site-decorating contest, sing carols on the hayride, enjoy great holiday crafts and bring your baked goods to share at a Christmas in July dance party.
August 1-3: Back In Time

August 15-17: Summer Cool Off
Join us for wet and wild fun. Relays, penny and marble searches, treasure hunts, and a few new surprises are sure to be a hit this weekend. Get the family together and play water volleyball. Kids will have a splendid time making boats that really float and having a boat race with their own creations. Slip-n-slide your way into the lake on a smooth shaving cream floor. Grab your swimsuit and be ready for a cool time.
August 22-24: Back To School
Activities will take place that will entitle students to earn tickets. At the end of the day tickets will be counted and school supply prizes will be awarded. Fun in the sun is your objective this weekend. Arts and crafts will be full of useful school gadgets. No bedtime tonight, party hard under the disco ball at the DJ dance.
August 29-September 1: All Play, No Work
Unwind and forget about work as we celebrate Labor Day. Relax by the pool, take a boat ride, float on the lake at our sand beach, crank up the barbecue and enjoy time with your family. Keep the fun rolling with crafts, games and sandcastle building. Dance into the night at the DJ dance
September 5-7: Wakeboard 2008/Grandparents Day
Pump up the music and the enthusiasm; it’s time for the Wakeboard Competition Weekend. Levels of competition include beginners, intermediates, advanced and outlaw. Join us as a competitor or spectator and prepare for fun in the sun. We will have special activities for kids and their wonderful grandparents. After a day full of fun we will keep on jamming at the DJ dance.

Take a day trip to visit one of the many area museums, zoos, parks or shopping outlets. Pick up a list of area events and local attractions. Check out the new shops in Littleton and the antiques in Warrenton.

Let’s play ball! Baseball, football, softball, soccer or volleyball, any size or shape of ball, either watch or play. Staff vs. guest softball is always a favorite. It’s the weekend to remember Dad on Father’s Day.
June 20-22: Wilderness Camping Weekend
This weekend we’ll learn to rough it. Plan to make a campfire properly and get safety tips for being around a fire. Learn about animals and their tracks. What are the different kinds of trees? Come and learn.
June 27-29: Puppy Love Weekend
Come and join in our pet party with your best friend. Bring your pet to the parade. If you don’t have a real dog, bring a stuffed one. Reward your pooch’s loyalty and love by bringing him to Moody Beach.

Fourth of July fireworks,always light up Moody Beach. Entertainment on the fourth and fifth are sure to keep in the theme of celebrating our nation’s birthday.

Come for the weekend or stay a bit longer. We’ll get the firepit roaring and sing some songs through the night.
August 8-10: American Artist Appreciation Weekend
Grab your crayons and your paintbrushes and bring your imagination along with your camping gear for a fun-filled weekend of arts and crafts.
August 15-17: Full Moon Fever
Let’s get crazy this weekend! There’ll be activities and more. Crafts for the kids, dancing and a romantic moonlit hayride.
August 22-24: Mexican Independence Weekend
It’s fiesta time! We’ll have a Mexican-style potluck dinner and then mambo the night away.
August 29-September 1: Labor Day Weekend
We’ll enjoy entertainment nightly and keep the kids busy all day. There’ll be no work at all, just play, play, play!
September 5-7: Grandparents Day
Bring Nana and Poppa, we’ll spoil them rotten. We’ll make cards and gifts and make this a very special weekend for grandparents.
September 12-14: National Peanut Weekend
Just like the squirrels and Jimmy Carter, we’ll celebrate National Peanut Weekend. We’ll eat peanut butter sandwiches, make a peanut craft and have a peanut contest because we’re just nuts about peanuts!
September 19-21: You Say Potato, I Say Potato
We’ll have a baked potato potluck dinner. We’ll supply the potatoes so be sure to bring plenty of fixins. Mr. Potato Head has nothing on us!
September 26-28: Crushing Cans Weekend
Let’s all do our part to clean up the park. Please help with our fall cleanup and we’ll thank you with a cookout when the day’s work is done.
October 3-5: Chinese National Weekend
This weekend is for all to celebrate. We’ll have a fried rice and teriyaki chicken dinner after a full day of celebrating Chinese National Day in our own special way.
October 10-13: Columbus Day Weekend
Three days of fall fun, bring your firewood and sweaters. Enjoy the rural scenery, fall foliage and much more.

April 4-6: Peter Cottontail’s Return
Enjoy a fun weekend decorating eggs, creating springtime crafts, hunting for candy on an egg hunt and more bunny games, karaoke, and a delicious Sunday breakfast buffet.
April 11-13: Let’s Swing into Spring!
Learn about wildlife and nature’s wonders in the area by taking a leisurely stroll to the lake with our Kid Kool staff. A spring scavenger hunt and seed planting will get everyone in the swing of spring. In the evening, relax and meet new friends for a card game or watch a movie on our big screen TV.
April 18-20: Earth Day
Appreciate our beautiful earth this weekend by going on a family nature walk around the campground. Earth-friendly crafts and a nature scavenger hunt are a few of the activities planned for Saturday. Enjoy an old-fashioned marshmallow roast while you gaze at the starlit skies of the Poconos.
April 25-27: Fear Factor
Join us for our annual Pocono Fear Factor. Test your wits, talents and stomachs. Prizes awarded.
May 2-4: Fiesta Time
Join the festivities at our Cinco de Mayo celebration. Chow down at the nachos social, make crafts and be the first to break open the piñata. Learn how to dance the salsa and liven up the night with some spicy karaoke songs.
May 9-May 11: Moms Rock!
Moms take a relaxing soak in our hot tubs and relax around the lazy river and be treated to a complimentary lunch and movie. Show Mom how much you care by making her a lovely flower bouquet and a special “I Love You” card. Be sure to dedicate a song to Mom at karaoke Saturday night.
May 16-May 18: Let the Games Begin
We’ll play every game you can think of all weekend. In the evening we’ll hold a family game show with a prize awarded to the winners!
May 23-May 26: Season Kickoff
This weekend launches the start of our summer season. Enjoy fun family events including canoe races, volleyball competitions and softball. A summer picnic will be held in the courtyard with tickets on sale at the Country Store. Enjoy face painting, patriotic crafts and live entertainment.
May 30-June 1: Pirates of the Poconos
Grab your treasure map from the Kid Kool Club and search for treasures around the park. Make a pirate ship at crafts and launch it in the rugged waters of the water park. Participate for prizes in some really adventurous pirate competitions.
June 6-8: NASCAR Weekend
Bring your remote control cars to compete for prizes on our raceway. Enjoy a tasty barbecue while you watch the car race. This weekend will include NASCAR trivia, puzzle project and moon bounce for the kids. Plan on watching classic race events on the big screen with popcorn and soda.
June 13-15: Father’s Day
Treat Dad to a weekend of fun. Dads are invited to a fishing derby, pool tourney, karaoke and a game of horseshoes. Kids can create a special gift for Dad that will make him smile! Surprise him with a special dinner and movie in the Mountain Top Lodge. Be sure to join us for Sunday breakfast, where Dad eats free with the purchase of one paid ticket.
June 20-22: Sock Hop
Take out your penny loafers and your saddle shoes to rock around the clock. Watch “Grease” and treat the family to ice cream sodas, burgers and fries as you listen to music from the ‘50s. Have a blast doing the twist and mashed-potato at our Sock Hop dance contest.
June 27-29: Dino-Mite Party
This weekend we are throwing a surprise party for our mascot Kid Kool! Wear your favorite dinosaur t-shirt and receive a gift from Kid Kool. Join in for dinosaur crafts, an egg hunt and piñata fun. Enjoy a piece of cake while watching “Jurassic Park.”
July 4-6: Fourth Fest
Enjoy the local spectacular fireworks display, join in friendly tournaments of flag football, tug of war and ultimate Frisbee. Kids can cool off with a balloon toss and splash in the sprinkler. Enjoy a barbecue, poolside games, live entertainment and a special Sunday breakfast buffet.
July 11-13: Timothy Lake Fandango
Grab your cowboy boots and hats and come on down! Kids will jump for joy at the sight of the moon bounce. We’ll have a delicious dinner followed by line dancing and a dance contest!
July 18-20: Summertime Blues
Enjoy a splash party at the outdoor pool and a barbecue in the courtyard. In the evening Roger “Hurricane” Wilson will be playin’ up a storm!
July 25-27: Fat Tuesday in July
Join in for the silly Mardi Gras tumble, musical carnival caps and pancake-eating contest. Make a Mardi Gras mask, go on a scavenger hunt, feast on fine Cajun cuisine and enjoy the live entertainment Saturday night.
August 1-3: Party Hawaiian
Hula down to Timothy Lake North’s luau party! Play musical beach towels, limbo, Hula-Hoop, trivia games and coloring contests. Treat your family to a tropical feast and live entertainment Saturday night.
August 8-10: Dog Days of Summer
Beat the heat with swim competitions and a game of basketball in the outdoor pool. The kids can cool off under the courtyard sprinkler and at the ice cream social. Relax with an Italian dinner buffet and movie. Live entertainment featured in the courtyard.
August 15-17: Chili Cookoff
Bring your best recipe for our chili cookoff! Jump over for the jalapeño-eating contest to really heat things up and a member-run craft fair (call to reserve your table). Purchase tickets for our hot dinner and dance in the courtyard.
August 22-24: Casino Weekend
Try to beat the odds at poker, blackjack and more this weekend. Gamble the night away with TLN fun money and turn your winnings into prizes. Arrive early to the casino Saturday evening and enjoy a special dinner before the gambling begins. Kids can get into the action at the Kid Kool Club playing card games with candy bars as prizes.
August 29-31: End of Summer
Sign up for softball games, relay races and a mini-golf competition. The $ 1.98 Beauty Pageant will be held Saturday night! Men dress like the ladies, ladies dress like the men, prizes awarded for “Prettiest,” “Most Handsome,” and “$1.98 Beauty of the Summer!” Enjoy a delicious barbecue and dancing to great evening entertainment.
September 5-7: Grandparents Weekend
Grandparents are our heritage, so let’s make their day special and honor them! Make them special gifts at crafts and treat them to a complimentary breakfast. Make sure they get time in the pool at grandparents-only swim time and cap the day off with special time together watching a movie at the lodge.
September 12-14: Hooray for Hollywood
Settle back for a fun movie marathon this weekend. We’ll have movie trivia and will make our own hilarious campground movie to watch on the big screen Saturday night.
September 19-21: Autumn Is In The Air
Pack your cameras to capture the beautiful fall foliage. Participate in a nature walk, themed arts and crafts, a fall scavenger hunt and games. On Saturday join us for a fun night of karaoke.
September 26-28: Johnny Appleseed
We’ll feature apple crafts and apple games. Enter our apple pie contest and recipe exchange!
October 3-5: Birthdays for All
Boy, are we going to celebrate this weekend! We’ll celebrate everyone’s birth with cake, ice cream and balloons. We’ll have a party all day long for the kids with games, prizes and a piñata. Adults can have their own party with card games, charades and Twister. In the evening join us with festive birthday songs at karaoke.
October 10-12: Columbus Day
The 23rd annual Shawnee Balloon Festival will be held this weekend at the Shawnee Resort. In our Kid Kool Club children will learn about Columbus with a game of trivia, puzzles and games. Sign up to have a family photo taken on our ship in the water park. Join in for karaoke and enjoy a special movie.
October 17-19: Arts and Crafts
Kick back and relax this weekend with great crafts. Face painting, scrapbook-making and ceramics are a few of the activities planned. A member-run arts and crafts fair will be held on Saturday. Sign up for spaghetti dinner and a movie.
October 24-26: Spooktacular Countdown
Can’t wait for Halloween? Get in the mood with pumpkin painting, spooky crafts and scary games. Check out local haunted houses and pumpkin patches nearby. Spooky movies will be featured on Saturday.
October 31-November 2: Haunted Mountaintop Mansion
Kids will be trick-or-treating, pumpkin painting, participating in a costume contest and just having a really fun time. Site decoration is also planned for the weekend with prizes going to the best decorated. Saturday evening haunted mansion fun (if you dare!) playing games, dancing and singing.

March 28-30: Hooray, it’s Spring!
Let’s rush the season a little by doing some of our favorite summer activities. We’ll have fun in the indoor pool, try our hand at mini-golf and play bongo ball.
April 4-6: Health & Fitness Weekend
Let’s focus on a healthy body as we devote some time to exercise. We’ll do some water aerobics, take a brisk walk around the campground, and more. Please share your workout tips with the group.
April 11-13: Take Me out to the Ball Game
Baseball season has begun, so bring your snacks and drinks to the member lounge as we watch a game together on TV. Weather permitting, we’ll play softball.
April 18-20: Bingo Weekend
If bingo’s your game, then this is the place to be this weekend. We’ll play regular bingo in all different configurations, as well as candy bar bingo and more. See how many cards you can master at one time. Bring the whole family; the bigger the crowd, the more exciting the games.
April 25-27: Let’s Go Green Weekend
This weekend is devoted to learning how to keep our planet healthy and green. Let’s all do our part in trying to conserve energy and recycle materials.
May 2-4: Green Thumb Weekend
We would love to have your gardening experience as we spruce up the campground for the coming season. We’ll provide lunch for all your help.
May 9-11: Salute to Mom Weekend
Hats off to all moms as we celebrate your special day. We’ll have a craft hour for kids to make Mom a gift. Mom will have her own swim time and movie night.
May 16-18: Pet Weekend
We know you all love your pets, so bring them camping with you and show them off. Dress them up for our pet parade and contest. We’ll have prizes for the best-dressed and cutest pets.
May 23-26: Memorial Day Weekend
It’s time to get the summer season started with lots of fun activities. Join us for our kids’ carnival on Saturday morning. Our outdoor pool is open and ready for all your favorite pool games. We’ll have a dance on Saturday night. Don’t forget to honor and remember all of those for whom we celebrate Memorial Day.
May 30-June 1: Yard Sale Weekend
Clean out your house and RV and bring all your “treasures” to sell this weekend. Go from site to site and see what you can’t live without. We’ll still have our regular weekend activities to keep you busy.
June 6-8: Casino Weekend
Do you feel lucky? Come find out as you try to beat the dealers at our casino games. We’ll give you a bag of “fun” money. See if you can be our big winner of the evening.
June 13-15: Salute to Dads & Grads Weekend
School is out for the summer. We salute our high school and college grads and wish them good luck. We also pay tribute to our dads. We’ll have a father/child mini-golf tournament and Dad can relax by the pool with his own swim time.
June 20-22: Summer Solstice Weekend
Help us take advantage of the longest day of the year. We’ll extend our outdoor pool hours and you can dance the evening away in your “Mid-Summer’s Night Dream”.
June 27-29: We Love Kids Weekend
We’ll tailor most of our activities this weekend to our younger guests. We’ll have special times allotted in the pool and game room just for kids. Join us on Friday night for our teen dance and on Saturday for our ice cream social.
July 4-6: Star Spangled Weekend
Join us this weekend as we say “Happy Birthday, America!” There is nothing more beautiful than the fireworks display at Yorktown on the battlefields overlooking the river. We’ll have a birthday cake on Saturday along with horseshoes, pool games, crafts, water balloon battles and much more.
July 11-13: Outdoor Cooking Weekend
Want to learn how to bake a cake in an orange or fix bacon and eggs in a paper bag? Join us for some fun and unusual cooking lessons. We would love your input on any of your favorite “outdoor” recipes.
July 18-20: Wild, Wild West Weekend
Get your cowboy hats and boots on and mosey on out west this weekend. We’ll have a bike rodeo for the kids and a water gun shootout at the Outdoor World Corral. Join us for line dancing lessons on Saturday afternoon and show off your moves at the dance that night.
July 25-27: Good Old Days Weekend
Try to remember what we did before we had TV and computers. We’ll jump rope and play marbles, jacks and hopscotch. Think of your scariest ghost stories as we sit around the campfire roasting marshmallows.
August 1-3: ’60s Weekend
Let’s take a journey back to the days of peace, love and flower power. Bring a shirt or socks for tie-dyeing at our craft hour. We’ll dance to your favorite ’60s music at our dance on Saturday night.
August 8-10: Circus Weekend
Calling all wannabe circus stars—come perform under the big top for our audience. We’ll have prizes for the best-dressed clowns and performers. Get your face painted on Saturday afternoon as part of the fun.
August 15-17: Summer Olympics Weekend
Sign up for some of our Olympic games. They may be a little different from what you’ll see on TV, but you’ll have fun doing them. See if you can walk away with one of our gold medals.
August 22-24: Fiesta Weekend
Our activities will take you south of the border this weekend. We’ll have a piñata for the kids and everyone can join in the Mexican hat dance. Take advantage of the outdoor pool before it closes in a couple of weeks.
August 29-September 1: Labor Day Weekend
Another summer season has come and gone. Hopefully we’ve all had loads of fun. We’ll keep the party going through the weekend with your favorite games, music and activities.
September 5-7: Grandparents Day Weekend
Bring your grandparents to the campground for a weekend of relaxation. The crowds are gone and the pace is much slower. We have lots of board games to play and puzzles to put together.
September 12-14: Explore Virginia Weekend
We have so many interesting things to do and see in our area. Take a trip to nearby York River State Park, where the fishing pier does not require a license. History abounds all around us, so try to see as much as you can.
September 19-21: Halloween Planning Weekend
We need all of your help as we begin planning this year’s thrills and chills. We have a theme to build on and, with your ideas, we’ll make it all come together.
September 26-28: Fall Harvest Weekend
Bring your favorite apple recipe to share with others this weekend. We’ll provide hot, mulled cider to go with all of your goodies.
October 3-5: Sports Weekend
We’ll have the TVs tuned to all of your must-see games, so bring your snacks and drinks and cheer your team to victory.
October 10-12: Fall Foliage Weekend
This is a wonderful time of year to visit Virginia. Take a trip through the mountains on Skyline Drive to see the leaves in all their beauty.
October 17-19: Indian Summer Weekend
Come take advantage of our warm, sunny days and cool, crisp nights. It’s a great time of year to swim in our indoor pool and sit by a warm campfire at night.
October 24-26: Ghosts & Goblins Weekend
The campground is starting to take on an eerie, spooky feel. You don’t want to miss our haunted house tour on Saturday night. We’ll have a DJ on Friday night and trick-or-treating for the kids on Saturday afternoon.
October 31-November 2: Halloween Weekend
This is the second weekend of our Halloween Spooktacular. We’ll try to scare the “yell” out of you if you’re brave enough to enter our haunted house. You never know what may be lurking around the next wall. Join us at our Monster Bash on Friday night. We’ll have pumpkin carving and trick-or-treating for the kids on Saturday afternoon.
