August 3:: Wine & Cheese Tasting

October 25: Halloween
Third annual Halloween party, haunted hayride, chili and hot dogs.

November 8: Thanksgiving Dinner
Turkey and mashed potatoes provided, you bring a side dish. Admission is $4 per person, with proceeds used to buy toys for underprivileged children.

December 13: Christmas Dinner
Christmas ham, potatoes, and drink provided, you bring a side dish. Admission is one new, unwrapped toy per person, all toys will be donated to the Salvation Army. Cost without a toy is $10 per person.

Cherokee Landing 
April 1-30: Spruce up the Park
We will be really cleaning up around here, so bring your gloves and rakes and join us as we beautify the park. Hot dogs for volunteers!

May 10-11: Mothers, We Salute You
Treat Mom to breakfast, take her to the movies, and she’s sure to enjoy the s’mores at the campfire!

May 24-25: Let’s Remember Our Veterans
We’ll be grilling, so you can enjoy good food and fellowship. Relax with music by the pool!

June 7: Mexican Fiesta
Come to Cherokee to enjoy mouth-watering tacos and take a swing at the piñata!

June 14-15: Fathers, We Salute You
Treat Dad to breakfast and bring him along for the games, including horseshoes, putt-putt golf and pool!

July 4-5: Happy Birthday, America!
Come celebrate with us as we salute the red, white and blue. There will be good food and fellowship. Bring your lawn chairs and look to the sky for our spectacular fireworks display!

July 19: Wet ’n’ Wild Weekend
Join us for fun in the sun! There’s sure to be a lot of splashin’ going on at the pool, and we’ll have tunes poolside for your entertainment!

August 22-23: Oh, Happy Days!
Join us for a root beer float and a Hula-Hoop contest, then come sing along at karaoke!

August 29-September 1: Hillbilly Days
Cola-chugging and watermelon seed-spitting contest. Beat the heat and cool off with water games at the pool. Something sure smells good on the grill!

September 13: Pickin’ and Grinin’
Wanted: all singers and musicians. Bring your instruments and show off your talents. Karaoke, too!

September 27: Whooo Are You (Who, Who…Who, Who)?
Dress up as your favorite actor, singer, comedian, etc. Be sure to bring your favorite cd’s for karaoke and dancing

October 3-4: Get Back to Nature
Come along for nature walks, bird watching, then join us for a singalong at the campfire with s’mores!

October 25: Wild, Wild, West
Best-dressed, western style, then hang on for the hayride and enjoy roasting hot dogs over the campfire. Karaoke!

May 16-18: Tournament Weekend
Don’t miss this game-packed weekend! There’ll be crafts for creative types and entertainment for all by the Visions Band.

May 23-25: Memorial Weekend
A traditional family-fun time with bingo and crafts. The pool opens for the season with music to swim to by DJ Torie Boan and evening entertainment with the Wishful Thinking Band.

May 30-31: Fun in the Sun Weekend
Great games and lots of sunny activities for the whole family.

June 6-8: Dog Days of Summer
Bring out your cutest pet for a costume contest, talent show and pet-perfect craft. Show those dogs how to boogie by  music by the Wishful Thinking Band.

June 13-14: Father’s Day Weekend
Crafts, doughnuts for Dad and a fishing tourney are sure to make that great dad of yours grin. Top it all off with cool music by Mike Helms, the “Big E.”

June 20-22: School’s Out
Look out, sunbathers! Water games, summer crafts and major dancing fun with DJ Torie Boan.

June 27-29: Weekend at the Races
We’ve got all the races in one crazy weekend! Golf cart race, bike race, RC race, canoe race and more. Come out and dance the night away with the Visions Band.

July 4-6: Fourth of July Weekend
A fun patriotic weekend for the whole family. Enjoy bingo, poolside music with DJ Torie Boan, fireworks, crafts, a park parade and the Wishful Thinking Band.

July 11-13: Christmas in July

November 7-9: Veterans Day Weekend

November 14-16: Game Night
Come play games of all sorts. Pegs and jokers, spades, etc. Bring your favorites and try some new games.

November 21-23: Holiday Craft Bazaar
It’s almost Christmas. Come out and set up a table of your favorite crafts to sell.

November 27-30: Thanksgiving Weekend
Come celebrate Thanksgiving with us. We will supply the turkey and the ham. Bring a covered dish to share.

December 5-7: Game Night at the Lodge

December: 12-14: Deck the Halls
Come help us decorate for Christmas. Bring a snack to share.

December 19-21: Christmas Social
Bring a snack to share (appetizers or cookies) and celebrate Christmas with us.

December 26-28: Soup Day Weekend.
Let’s keep this weekend low-key after the holidays. Bring your favorite pot of soup to share.

Natchez Trace
April 3-6: Mule Day Celebration Weekend
Join our caravan to the annual Mule day Parade. The fun continues with mule pulls, arts and crafts, liar’s contest, live music and much more.

April 5: Wacky Sports Weekend
Wacky games scheduled all weekend, including sack races with a twist, hillbilly golf and a wild game of indoor baseball.

April 12: Texas Casino Weekend
Grab your cowboy hats and start the fun with a Texas-style supper at Town Hall, then get set for some Texas Hold ’em blackjack. After the games we’ll have a blind auction for great prizes.

April 19: Bluegrass Jamboree Weekend
Join the foot-stomping and hand-clapping fun at the Amphitheater at 4 p.m.

April 28: Gospel Music Jubilee Weekend

May 3: Cinco de Mayo Fiesta
Don your sombreros and get set for a Mexican-flavored weekend. You can make a piñata at kids’ crafts, see a puppet show with a Mexican flair, and enjoy delicious Mexican food.

May 10: International Casino Weekend
Casino night with an international flair. The fun starts with an international supper at Town Hall at 4 p.m., casino night starts at 7.

May 17: ’50s Sock Hop Weekend
Pull on your bobby socks and poodle skirts for a rockin’ good time at our sock hop Saturday night. Hula Hoop and bubble gum contests and a Nifty Fifties costume contest are some of the activities planned.

May 24: Memorial Day Hog Roast Weekend
This fun-filled weekend starts with a kids’ carnival at the Red Barn, hog calling, pie and baked bean contests during the afternoon, and at 5 p.m. our hog roast dinner will be served up! The fun continues with a country and western hoedown with a live country band.

May 31: Tropical Pool Party Weekend
Kick off the summer with a tropical pool party, complete with tropical refreshments and a hula contest. All you Parrotheads will enjoy Jimmy Buffet music while you party at the pool.

June 7: Sonnenschien, Sunshine Festival Weekend
Hohenwald will be sponsoring a big festival featuring live music and green-power attractions. Join us at the preserve for live bluegrass music with the Duck River Boys.

June 14: Circus Circus Weekend
Face painting and cotton candy are just some of the fun this weekend. We’ll have a circus-style casino night on Saturday.

June 21: Wacky Water Weekend
This weekend is full of crazy games to get you wet. Water balloons and water guns will be a big part of the fun, and crazy water games in the pool will be another highlight of this weekend.

June 28: Western Days Weekend
Barbecue contest! We’ll have a contest to judge the best barbecue meats, baked beans and sauces. Judging will be Saturday afternoon and we’ll follow up with karaoke night, western style.

July 5: Fantastic Fourth of July Weekend
This is the largest event of the season. There will be a carnival set up on the beach with lots of rides and food concessions. Live music and a huge fireworks display at dark.

July 12: Bluegrass Jamboree Weekend
Join us at the Town Hall for a foot-stomping good time featuring the Duck River Boys.

July 19: Monte Carlo Casino Weekend
Come play cards and win great prizes this weekend. Casino night is a favorite event for the whole family.

July 26: Pirate Party Weekend
Hunt for the pirate treasure and participate in some pirate games. A costume contest and karaoke are highlights of the weekend.

August 2: Mountain Man Weekend
Best-dressed pioneer contest, tomahawk throwing and relays are just a few of the events planned for this weekend.

August 9: Luau Weekend
Fun includes hula contests, costume contest, limbo and live music. We’ll serve supper with a tropical flair.

August 16: International Casino Weekend
Dress up to represent your favorite country and come play casino night on Saturday.

August 23: Car Show Weekend
Check out all the fancy cars at the front pavilion. Hamburgers and drinks will be available, along with live rock ’n’ roll.

August 30: Labor Day Hog Roast Weekend
Kick off the day with a kids’ carnival at the Red Barn. Pie and baked bean contest, and live country dance after the dinner.

September 6: ’60s and ’70s Weekend
Take yourself back to the psychedelic ’60s.Tie dye and flower power are some of the groovy features of this weekend, with karaoke and a best-dressed hippie contest on Saturday.

September 13: Reno Casino Weekend
Come join us at the Town Hall for a great time playing blackjack and winning great prizes.

September 20: Sportsmania Weekend
Softball, horseshoes, goofy golf and wallyball are just a few of the games to participate in this weekend.

September 27: Gospel Music Bluegrass Jubilee
This weekend features live gospel music and a campfire singalong.

October 4: Wild West Weekend
Put on your best western attire and try to win the best-dressed contest. Try your hand at lassoing and other cowboy competitions.

October 11: Oktoberfest Weekend
This weekend features a huge flea market all the way to Hohenwald. German singers and other live music are a big part of this event.

October 18 Talent Show Weekend:
Come share your talent with us at the Town Hall.

October 25: Howling Halloween Weekend
Party with a kids’ carnival and a hayride, costume contest and a howling good time.

November 1: Thanksgiving
Dinner and dance at the Town Hall, 6 p.m.

May 24-26: Memorial Day “Dedication & Honor Weekend”
Photo bulletin board dedication for TT Members with family currently serving in the armed forces, Crafts for adults and kids, special holiday entertainment, Saturday and Sunday picnic lunches by the pool, mini-golf, shuffleboard tournaments, scavenger hunt and more!

July 4-6: Independence Day Weekend
Special holiday crafts for kids and adults, Special kids’ entertainment: Mr. Richards on Saturday morning, bicycle and golf cart decoration and parade, scavenger hunt, free flag pins and free patriotic cake and coffee.

August 30-September 1: Labor Day, “Nature, Conservation & Recycle Weekend”
Programs, presentations, member involvement and interactivity all revolving around recycling and conservation, including park beautification effort with awards and prizes, special crafts for kids and entertainment by Mr. Richards on Saturday.

October 31-November 2: Fall Fest Weekend, Halloween and Oktoberfest
Halloween costume contest, games and crafts, hayride, homemade pie bake sale and traditional Oktoberfest food, clown face painting, Saturday night entertainment and dance.
